Dear Friends,
A huge thank you. Huge.
This nation stood on the brink and peered into the abyss, and every supporter of Pure Integrity Michigan Elections had a choice to make. You could slip quietly into the night, into a thousand years of darkness, or step forward and take a stand for the integrity of our elections. If you're reading this, you stepped forward.
For the past four years, patriots have studied election processes. They made phone calls and knocked doors. They attended local government meetings and ran for office. Then, in the 9 to 16 days of early voting and through Election Day they served as poll workers and challengers and analysts and communicators and helpers—all to protect our republic and restore integrity to our elections.
PIME supporters' quiet, professional, and knowledgeable presence in polling locations and clerk offices served as a deterence to would-be lawbreakers. We spotted the flickers of issues and snuffed them out before they flared to become serious problems.
The election was far from perfect, but the overall results reflected the will of the voters, the voting aged citizen voters.
Rather than toppling headlong into tyranny, into the rule of the elite bureaucratic few, this great republic now rests in the hands of the people. We the People chose substance over celebrity, policy over propaganda.
Tuesday’s victories were the fruit of many team efforts. No one did everything, but everyone did something, and we can all feel proud that our organization played a role.
As we look back over the incredible victories and celebrate with eyes swollen with fatigue, we need to keep in mind a few things.
First, we are not alone. Come to find out, we represent the majority. This nation elected a president with both the electoral college and the popular vote. Despite billions of dark and possibly foreign monies pouring into PACs, NGOs, and nonprofit organizations to try to persuade the people to perpetuate the rule of overreaching government bureaucrats and globalists, the voters chose to believe their eyes and their pocketbooks.
We the People stepped forward and spoke with our votes.
Despite bureaucratic chest thumping and threatening comments like "We will come for you" from our Secretary of State, We the People stepped forward and defended the Rule of Law. We participated in our nation's revolutionary system of self-government, and we steered the ship of state back onto course.
Second, we need to realize that the world is watching in awe. They saw the people of this great nation raise their voices through their votes. We spoke loud and clear and peaceably.
We said, no, we will not be told how to live. We will not be told what we can say, or write, or think. We each have an equal, God-given right to live our lives as we choose, to equal liberties no matter our race, religion, gender or beliefs. We have the right to raise our children and to pursue happiness as we choose.
Now is a time for celebration and reflection, a time to assess what went right and wrong. But above all, we must remember that the system worked ONLY because we, as citizens, did our duties and became involved.
We listened. We learned. We teamed with others and supported each other.
We were right, polite, and persistent.
So, while we take this victory lap, we need to train our eyes on the future. We have much yet to do.
The elections were far from perfect. The job of protecting the republic will never be done. It was designed to pass from one generation to the next. So, we need to investigate, learn, and adapt. We need to adjust and reset our priorities. We need to teach our children the principles of this nation and alert them that freedom is but one generation deep.
We cannot go away or return to our former lives because we have re-learned an important lesson. As Thomas Jefferson said, "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."
We didn’t fall into the abyss, this time. But now is not the time to fold our tent and return home to the good old days in which the ground was rotting under our feet. Now is the time to build a permanent infrastructure, to solidify our newfound friendships, to record and study and enhance. And as we move further away from the brink, we will help our nation grow heathier and happier under the glowing light of the Rule of Law.
Congratulations, and thank you.
